PARTICIPATION IN DISTRICT PROJECTS

 

 

DISTRICT SIMPLIFIED GRANTS (DSG) of TRF

 

Under this project, RC Yelahanka, a rural club, has been paired with RC RT Nagar, a city club, by the District.

 

RC Yelahanka has identified distribution of 15 school benches to Government Primary School in Yelahanka New Town as a project to be executed from the funds granted under the DSG. The cost of each bench is INR 2,000/- (approx. USD 50 each).

 

As per the tenets of DSG 2007-08, RC Yelahanka has committed INR 5,000/- (USD 125), RC RT Nagar has committed INR 10,000/- (USD 250). The District matches these commitments with its own contribution of INR 15,000/- (USD 375), so that the project of INR 30,000/- (USD 750), that of supplying 30 benches to the school, can be executed.

 

The DSG application form was formally signed by the two clubs and submitted to the district on 31st July 2007.
